Biografía
Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de
Madrid. Se ha formado en Como (Italia), Nueva York, París,
Stuttgart (Alemania) y Madrid. Funda en 1999, junto a
Benjamín Escalonilla Godayol, Erres Arte y Diseño S.L., un estudio
dedicado al diseño gráfico y multimedia, a la ilustración y al arte
digital. Es profesora de Grabado y Técnicas de Estampación en la
Facultad de Bellas Artes de Madrid desde 2002.
Ha realizado exposiciones individuales y colectivas en diversas
ciudades de España, Alemania e Italia y obtenido varios premios en
España e Italia.

“En esas noches en blanco es cuando Carmen Hidalgo de Cisneros coge
las telas, los colores, los pinceles, los lápices y comienza a
crear. Es el momento en el que las impresiones, las sensaciones,
las emociones, pugnan por salir del ámbito de las ideas al de la
plástica, que en una infinidad de instantes ha ido absorbiendo de
la otra realidad, de lo cotidiano de la vida que sorprende a cada
paso con algo nuevo y diferente, completando experiencias ya
vividas o mostrando otra imagen, otra faceta, no intuida… Cuando el
mundo exterior ha desaparecido quedan impresiones, sensaciones y
emociones, fundidas en la memoria y la epidermis, como parte de su
esencia y su existencia.

Biography
She is
graduated in Fine Arts in the Complutense University in Madrid. She
has been trained in Como (Italy), New York, Paris, Stuttgart
(Germany) and Madrid.
She founded
a study dedicated to graphic design and multimedia, illustration
and digital art together with Benjamin Escalonilla Godayol, Erres
Arte and Diseño S.L., she has been teacher of etching and printing
techniques in the Fine Arts university in Madrid since
2002.
She has made individual
and collective exhibitions in different cities in Spain, Germany
and Italy getting several awards in Spain and Italy.
Critical
review
On sleepless nights is
when Carmen Hidalgo takes her canvases, colors, art brushes,
pencils and starts creating. It is the moment in which impressions,
feelings and emotions struggle to leave the field of the ideas and
enter the one of plastic arts, which in endless moments have been
engulfing the other reality from everyday life, surprising with
each step offering something new and different completing lived
experiences or showing another image, another aspect not known by
intuition. Those train journeys, visiting the same stations and
contemplating different landscapes; those outings in the sea, the
sea always the same and at the same time always different or as in
shows at the theater or opera where on the same stage different
actions take place. When the exterior world has disappeared, the
impressions, feelings and emotions remain, clapsed in the memory
and skin as part of its essence and existence.
Carmen Hidalgo creates,
she does not recreate, constructs like a demiurgo, a world to fit
her, where her sea, her tree, her night are the sea, the tree, the
night. Poetry and sensitivity confer shape and life to her inner
